NEW ALBUM OUT JULY 15, 2021- SOLAR FLASH!

I’m super excited to announce the release of my new solo album - Solar Flash (MoonJune Records) on July 15th, 2021.

This album is the result of a 3 year process (yes, it has taken me that long!) but it was definitely worth the while waiting and the effort I, and everyone involved have put into it. The album features some of my favorite musicians ever; Gary Husband, Kevin Glasgow, Sylwia Bialas and Mark Wingfield.

You can listen to some of it now on the ‘New Album’ page and its going to be available from July 15th on Bandcamp for both streaming and download.

Find below some details about it…

Featuring:

Asaf Sirkis - Drums
Gary Husband - Keyboards
Kevin Glasgow - Electric Bass

With special guests:
Sylwia Bialas - Vocals
Mark Wiengfield - Guitar

The new album - SOLAR FLASH - celebrates music composed by Israeli drummer Asaf Sirkis and featuring a stellar line-up consisting of British keyboardist extraordinaire Gary Husband, Scottish bassist Kevin Glasgow, and Israeli-born Asaf Sirkis on drums with special guests: Polish singer Sylwia Bialas and USA-born guitarist Mark Wingfield.

Expect some haunting, free spirited electro-acoustic sounds with a wide spectrum of dynamics, ranging from Erik Satie inspired gentle ballads all the way to raw, high energy electric Jazz-Prob-Improv, driven by urgency of expression.

I’ve known Asaf’s gifts for years, certainly enough to say that as far as I can see, there’s NOTHING he can’t do when he puts his mind to it. Of course on this innovative record his kit skills just keep expanding but what really gets to me here are his ethereal, haunting compositions, which take the soloists into uncharted territories, guiding them but allowing them freedom to dip and dive through their solos in their own sympathetically idiosyncratic ways. So this is a remarkable recording which, with its very distinct individual voices, has nevertheless the feel of a single living organism: Quite a combination!
